There are many steps in a breast cancer patient’s journey, from a routine screening mammogram all the way through pathology and treatment. Each of these steps is tied to the one before it – for example, patients do not get a biopsy until they have accurate, clear images taken of their breasts. Furthermore, clinicians are accountable for much more than clinical accuracy at each point in the patient journey.
